Paul And George Wallace Jr.On May 13, 2010 Paul Peloquin attended the Cherokee County Republican Dinner.  It was a very exciting event as in attendance were many Senators, former Senators, house of representive members, candidates, and registered voters.  Also, there were guest speakers George Wallace Jr. and Chip Beeker.  After dinner the guest speakers talked about their views and goals for the State of Alabama and had some very interesting stories for the people attending.  Then, the candidates for District 10 were given a chance to speak.  Mr. Peloquin made an excellent speech focusing on his knowledge of what is going on in Montgomery, his awareness of the serious issues needing to be addressed, and how appalled he is at how many bills have been passed that have been irrelevant to the real, serious issues of Alabama.  Paul with Lori Owens Chairperson Republican Committee

Mr. Peloquin did not feel the need to go into his history of military involvment, his many accomplishments, and the organizations he has founded.  This event was about "what he planned to do for the people of District 10."  Paul Peloquin spoke only and adamantly about how, if elected, "he will take what the people of Cherokee and Etowah Counties want and need to Montgomery, and he will not stop until the people's needs are met".  He did say in his life he has been told no many, many times, but he never gave up and always accomplished his goals.  His goal now is to take the voice of the people to Montgomery, not his voice, but the people's voice.

Paul Peloquin talked about how he has been speaking one-on-one to people in district 10 for months about what they want and what they need and how we need to get back to the original constitution as founded.  He spoke with conviction and sincerity.  You can feel the power, the passion, and wisdom Paul Peloquin has when he speaks. Paul was commended by George Wallace Jr, son of the late George Wallace Sr., for his ability to speak "to the people and not at the people".  That was such an honor for Paul as when he was a child he got to shake George Wallace Senior's hand, a moment he has never and will never forget.

As the event came to an end, Mr. Peloquin got a chance to mingle with other Republicans, meet new and old friends, and wished luck to all as it is time for a great change. Paul also wishes to thank Mr. Dillishaw for his support through this campaign over the past several months.
